1to5 edge braiding with compressed start

#1by Cord_Craft » Tue Aug 25, 2015 2:43 pm

After my 2 first attempts at edge-braided cuffs, I couldn’t leave my wife felling left out. So I made a scaled down version for her. I had instructions for 1-7, but not 1-5 and I dislike video TUTS, so I figured out the run order and coding for a 1 to 5 with a compressed start. (Then after taxing my brain I browsed Bruce Grant Vol1 and realised that regular 1-5 is in there by a different name “8 string round” pg. 300 oh well, learn more thinking it through LOL!). This 1-5 compressed done in 3mm Burgundy Roo lace on a 5/8”/16mm thin leather blank to achieve a more delicate ladies bracelet. Last photo “his-n-hers” to compare size

Great looking bracelets Phil, at some point I must invest in more leather blanks and tools to do this. Thanks for the inspiration...
